Late 1940s-50s. Music scene was taking off, cars were getting cool, and women knew their place. And did I mention that women knew their place?

ETA: I had it good though - a kid in the '70s, teen in the '80s, and a professional working man in the 90s. I wish my kids had the chance to experience that era instead of this crappy one. # MAGA

I did. I was in high school in SF and LA 1964-1967, and then college at Berkeley and UC-Santa Barbara 1967-1971.

It was a stone cold groove.

Good call. Seeing Metallica in their prime was something to behold & something that will NEVER happen again for one live metal band musically. They were just that amazing back then. All I can do to re-live it is go back & watch the 1989 Seattle show DVD from the ..And Justice For All tour. Incredible.

'80's were fun as a kid. However, while there is some thinking you had a lot of Wall Street movie or Miami Vice style coke excess, people were freaked about AIDS and chicks were wearing baggy clothes. I agree with that late '60's to early '70s's free love and prime music range (sans disco).
