It's what I'm thinking too. If memory serves me correct the last time was on the inner part of my knee. Don't know if they went in to clean up the outside too.

sounds like torn meniscus. I had the same thing - mine would lock in place often, the 'pop' back out. eventually stopped popping, and that's when the pain set in. had surgery, no knee pain until recently. But went to doc and found out it's just age. sucks. go get your knee fixed then live it up while you can.
