Morphine is no longer used in the military / tactical setting primarily because of the respiratory depression issues. Fentanyl (ease of administration / safety) and Ketamine (disassociative effects) are the preferred analgesia these days. You want to stay away from Toradol and related drugs for trauma because of the associated coagulapathy issues.

YOU HOWEVER shouldn't be carrying any of these.

No first aid kit is complete unless you have: "two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers... and also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of Budweiser, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.

Not that you need all that for the trip, but once you get locked into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.”

If you have Glenlivet in your first aid kit I need to report a serious hang nail. Where can we meet up for treatment?

Since they don't allow civilians to carry morphine syrettes, what other items can be accessed in order to give an appropriate first response in an emergency situation? I am trying to outfit the first aid kit for my car.

Damn is BRPD out of ideas on how to catch pain pill dealers that they are resorting to this?
