Between me and my SO, we have 8 yearbooks. They take up way too much space and we want to get rid of them, but not just throw them in the garbage.

What does the OT recommend? are there places to donate them?

There's places that will scan them for a fee and then maybe ask some old classmates if they want them

High school? Maybe see if the school library wants them.

Do you have an alumni association or a Facebook page for graduates? Seems like someone from my old high school is always looking for a specific yearbook.

I don't have an attic i am in a transition stage where I live on a state park and will be moving in August to who knows where. And I'm not taking yearbooks with me.

I may just do a celebratory bonfire

What Walt said. You can find space. Your just being lazy. Is the SO putting you up to this? Because it sounds like woman's work. I'd make sure a sammich comes out of it either way.

Does either of your high schools have an alumni association? They will typically take old yearbooks for their collection.

Do you live in a closet? How much space can 8 yearbooks consume?

That's the problem. I live nowhere near where I went to high school.

I guess I can contact them and see if they'll want them, but I'm not an OT baller so I'm not paying shipping

It's not a matter of space, it's just I don't want them so I'm using the space issue as an excuse to get rid of them.
