Same here. When my kids were really young, I could have used a leash a few times, but I could never do that, lol.

I used one when my twins were toddlers but it had a strap around their wrists, not a harness on their body. People made nasty comments (or barked woof woof) when they passed but in a busy airport with escalators or other dangerous places with crowds I figured I'd rather endure rude people comments than losing one of my children.

to carry around all the time? yeah.. 26lbs of a child squirming around, wanting down. Yea too much. And everything is on the strip.. shops, resturamts, beach, i mean constant traffic. I dont stay in the condo

Why not a stroller or a carrier? If you're walking around that much the 18-month old is going to get tired and need to be held anyway.
