Same, I had .70 off and it was $1.80. Didn’t use it because only half a tank, but I’m not sure I’ll use a full tank any time soon with the world collapsing and all

It's a simple explanation really, it's because they're fricking us.

1.89 in Covington. The price has dropped 10¢/gallon in the past month. Meanwhile, a barrel of oil remains in the low/mid-twenties.
They're fricking us.
Wow! You are a fricking idiot. Please explain who is fricking you and how? The oil companies? Your government is fricking you! They still get $0.38/gallon regardless of the price of gasoline. So they are getting 20% pure profit on your $1.89 for doing nothing to produce that oil while oil companies will declare bankruptcy by the dozens.

$2.55 in North Las Vegas

fricking idiot here...
Oil prices have fallen between $20 and $25 a barrel over the past month. Gas taxes remain unchanged. Conventional wisdom estimates the refining costs, transportation, and marketing costs to be approximately 50% of a gallon of gas.
With that known information, would you explain how retailers in Covington, LA have only reduced their price by 10¢ per gallon over the past month? It seems unrelated to the large supply, lower demand, and other market forces. I'm left to conclude that they're fricking us because they can. However, I'm genuinely interested in hearing your explanation.
