going from the third friend / tag along guy in elementry - high school to being the most successful of the three. they got jealous. the last straw was when one of them went behind my back trying to sleep with an ex of mine without asking when i had turned down a sexual advance a year earlier from one of their current GF's. i knew then it was time to move on

Distance. I left for the military after HS and all my boys stayed home, over time it all just faded as everyone had moved on.

Hijack: I could never figure this one out. I couldn't care less what my ex-gf does. If I dumped her, it was because she was crazy. If one of my friends wants to do my crazy ex, go knock your socks off. Why ask permission for something that's not mine anymore?

Any who, carry on with the thread.

One of my best friends got married and had kids. Never talks to us anymore. Weird. No fight. No ill words. We ALL got married and had kids, so you'd think we have it in common and would make that step too.

He's the only one of the group who doesn't talk or meet up regularly if asked. FTR I like his wife. I knew her before he did. Did not KNOW her, know her either.

Same thing happened to me but in reverse. Sometimes you just get older and you start to realize how awesome pills are and how lame friends can be. Part of growing up I suppose.
