Good question. I worked in Texas in the petro chemical industry for over 30 years. Due to the locale and the mistaken impression that ATM produces great engineers, I've had the pleasure of working with more than my fair share of Aggies. After many years, I thought I had finally found one that was friendable. He put up a good front, leading me to believe he didn't REALLY drink the Kool Aid. He was a decent engineer, so that helped. Eventually the truth came out. The brain washing is just too strong. They enjoy the fairy tale they are taught and refuse to let the truth get in the way. They may hide their elitist views in front you, but among their piers it will always surface. It's laughable and yet sad. "Class of '85". "Class of '87". Big grins! Suddenly they are the only relevant people in the room. I've seen it so many times it's predictable and not in the least unpleasant anymore.
Aggs will be Aggs and can only be enjoyed on a limited basis. Just try to find one that only drank and did not MAKE the Kool Aid. Oh, and hope LSU FB continues their domination. Only then will you not have to listen to their poorly recounted history of the home and home series that started in the 80's. You know, the one where they pounded us so many times we finally turned tail and cancelled the remaining games in the series. Also, don't look into their traditions too deeply. Again, on the surface their traditions appear admirable. But when you witness it up close, like the Yell Leaders, it's just puzzling. And I'm being kind!

I'm friends with several aggies and they are all normal. The stereotype portrayed on this board may exist but I rarely run into those types.....and Ive lived in Texas for most of my life.
