I don't recall being in a car seat past 5 years old. Was probably not in one at 4 years old.

We moved Junior frontwards at 2. He's 3 1/2 now and rides shotgun.

I just throw my kids in the backseat with no seatbelts or chair - God will protect them.

We turned ours after he made 1. Weighed about about 22-23lbs.
His legs were too long for him to sit backwards comfortably.

My wife is a huge advocate for rear facing. I didn't realize how much safer it is until she showed me numerous stories of kids dying from snapped necks. Think about how much a front impact will pop a head forward on the tiny little neck. My daughter is 2-1/2 and still rear faces and will until she absolutely cant fit that way anymore.
And No I'm not some overprotective pussy dad either just could not see risking a dead or handicap kid over simply being easier to get her in and out.

Alabama state law is 12 months, American Academy of pediatrics recommends 24 months. Join the club of infants being terrible in the car.

I mean it is a 95 Ford Ranger. Better than putting him in the bed.

Same here. My son just turned 3 a couple days ago and is still rear facing and will be until he is over 35lbs.
I got in a collision last year with him in the car. So glad he was rear facing.
