I'm sure for the next couple of years a sign with the simple words "Hole" will sit in front of that thing. It's like the sign on I-49 years ago on a stretch where the road buckled but didn't break completely. It just said "Large bump ahead" for about three years before something was done about it.

Moon might have been a proponent as a state rep or city councilman, but Vic Schiro was mayor during the 60's when this was happening.
Thank God they didn't build an eleated freeway through the FQ. What a tragedy that would have been.

Elevated highways are a death sentence for real estate below them. Look at the high rise.
It's a retrospective fact many city planners have come to realize in the decades since that fad design was implemented. You see it in cities all over the country.
Elevated highways may be one of the worst urban planning ideas in the 20th century. It ruined the downtown areas for many cities. It is nice to see that some cities have demolished them.
