I'm sure for the next couple of years a sign with the simple words "Hole" will sit in front of that thing. It's like the sign on I-49 years ago on a stretch where the road buckled but didn't break completely. It just said "Large bump ahead" for about three years before something was done about it.

It's a retrospective fact many city planners have come to realize in the decades since that fad design was implemented. You see it in cities all over the country.



Elevated highways may be one of the worst urban planning ideas in the 20th century. It ruined the downtown areas for many cities. It is nice to see that some cities have demolished them.
