Wife's birthday is the weekend, decided to surprise her and my sons, they have been asking to ride the amtrak train for months. Plan and book a nice day in San Francisco, send her the itinerary. She writes back a few hours later, san fran. is having the gay pride festival this weekend... oh dear Lord...

Watch out for the heroine needles and human poop all over the sidewalks...I hear San Francisco is great this time of year, the stench and humidity really adds to the essence that is San Fran.

I wouldn't want to go to a straight pride parade either to he fair. I don't want to see two dudes or a dude and a chick humping each other in public.

I couldn't care less what you do in the privacy of your own home, but I don't need to see that shite from anybody.

Eta: and if you're trying to vacation there any kind of parade fricks up logistics for an entire day.

San Francisco is probably the wrong city to pick if you're worried about running across some gay people.

Youll never tell there was any type festival there.
Those parades, I think, stay away from the touristy areas.

Butt hurt already. Good to see you're already preparing your backside for this weekend.

If you're such a homophobe head up North to Marin and Sonoma Counties. You can visit Tiburon, the Marin headlands, go hike in the Muir Woods and go to Russian River brewing Co. in Santa Rosa.
