since this thread is called the Wednesday Night Wrestling WARS... let's go ahead and use a war analogy
AEW has established a "beachhead" (~700,000 viewers/week)
if AEW is able to keep doing shows like THAT, while NXT is doing review/recap type shows only... that should allow AEW to really "break out" from that "beachhead" and gain more viewers (go over & hold 1,000,000 viewers) and really put a dent in NXT numbers
could this even help AEW close in on Raw or SD type numbers??

NXT feels like a demotion to Balor, Flair(IMO). It is what it is.

the highlights from tonight's show have been uploaded to AEW's YouTube channel... including the Brodie Lee & Matt Hardy debuts along with Cody's open to tonight's show
nice little nugget that Christopher Daniels threw in while he was interrupting Evil Uno during the Dark Order/Exalted One (Brodie Lee debut) segment
"It's been like this for 3 months straight."
that's a reference to the 90 day no compete clause Brodie Lee/Luke Harper had to adhere to in his WWE contract before he could show up in AEW
they're obviously trying to imply (whether true or not) that Lee was signed by AEW almost the second he was released from WWE and AEW has been setting up for him to be the Exalted One ever since that moment
ETA: and yes Brodie Lee does walk out of the entry way early... while the camera is on the video screen before the director takes the video full... so you can see him walking out towards the ring
