Wednesday Night Wrestling Wars Thread: The Exalted One Arrives Edition

The craziness of current events continues to impact the wrestling kayfabe world... so much so that if you want to see new matches... tonight you're limited to just one channel... TNT (more on that later)

Much like WWE has done since Rudy Gobert shut down the world late last Wednesday night... AEW Dynamite will be from a crowd-less closed set in Florida (Jacksonville to be precise for AEW) but will have what amounts to a full show tonight with a full card

It was supposed to have been in Rochester, N.Y., the hometown of Brodie Lee (fka Luke Harper in WWE) which made tonight's episode such a top pick for Lee's AEW debut... let's see if that happens or not

6-man tag team match where the winning team gets the advantage in next week's Blood & Guts Match (AEW's version of War Games: The Match Beyond)... Inner Circle vs. The Elite

Lucha Bros vs. Best Friends (this was also supposed to be a 6-man tag... but someone took advantage of the 'you won't lose your push if you don't come to work b/c you're worried about getting sick' notice)

4-way match involving 4 actual women in the AEW Women's Division... Hikaru Shida vs. Riho vs. Kris Statlander vs. Penelope Forde

And of course... the Dark Order is expected to reveal who is the 'Exalted One"... Matt Hardy? Brodie Lee? Other?

NXT is going the complete other way with its show tonight... since apparently Vince McMahon is NOT a fan of the empty arena matches so far... so NXT will have NO new matches tonight

Literally... the only thing on WWE's website to promote tonight's episode of NXT is that Tom Phillips & HHH will be hosting the show

That's it... that's all... nothing else

So good news for G The Tiger Fan... no Mauro Ranallo or Beth Phoenix on commentary

Apparently WWE will just have character profiles and other "never before seen" footage to fill the 2 hours of programming

Apparently NXT TakeOver: Tampa Bay is in serious jeopardy of just being outright cancelled instead of postponed to a future date or done in an empty PC

also... reportedly the truck Becky Lynch showed up to Raw in the other night was actually supposed to be part of her Wrestlemania entrance (which is obviously scrubbed now due to the change in location)

The daughter of the late, great British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith tweeted that the WWE Hall of Fame festivities are more than likely going to be pushed back to Summerslam weekend (which is more fitting for Bulldog since that was where he got his biggest WWF victory... a win over Bret Hart at the 1992 Summerslam in London at Wembley Stadium)
