So two weeks ago Best Friends won a #1 contenders match. There was a title match last week and a title match next week. Does that make sense to anyone?

it's building the tag titles back up after they've been off air for a few months... and esp. rebuilding Omega & Page as the top tag team in AEW since Hangman was quarantining
it is a weird way to do it... yes... but ultimately the next big title match is Omega/Page vs. Best Friends even though the titles are being defended against other teams in the meantime
