Pretty soon the OT will be empty lol. I'll miss all the random "tips for going to this place" threads.

Would you suggest LSU road game.discussion stay on the rant?
I think so...as with many topics, there is overlap amongst boards...so use your best judgement...but I think LSU road game discussion works on the Rant

it will have sufficient traffic over time, just like the Food/Drink board.

Or the music board?

Isn't a big part of traveling finding out places to eat and drink? Won't this dilute the F&D board?

Who is sponsoring the travel Board?

What was the rationale for this over a health and fitness board? You can not make a topic on this subject on the OT without it being full of troll comments/crossfit gifs. You very seldom see travel related topic full of troll comments. Also health and fitness threads are much more prevalent on the OT than travel related threads.

just looking at the Food/Drink board, very small % of the topics are about dining outside of Louisiana.

I wish it all the best. I just hope it will have the sustainable traffic to offer as many opinions and as much quick feedback as the OT.

I think that's why people rely on the OT so much for info.

If you make a good thread and come across coherently, you'll usually get several great answers outside the ribbing within a short amount of time.

Lower board traffic means less responses. Less responses mean less lurkers.

What might possibly help would be some sort of tracker at the bottom of the OT showing new threads or hot threads in Lifestyle related topics, increasing the chances that so mien who might seldom view that board organically to chime in.
