So, in reality, tree hugging liberals are racist enablers?

People always think these trees are really old because they are big. That looks short and squatty so it probably grew in a field which means it would have grown much faster than a tree in a muture forest would. There was a really big tree on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay. Everyone thought it was really old and should be protected. The property owner got pissed he couldn't do what he wanted on his land so he cut it badly and killed it. After they gave up trying to save it and took it down it turns out it wasn't really old at all. Same with the AU oaks at Toomers. They turned out to not be very old.
Here is the article. They thought it was 500 years old and it was 90. LINK

The KKK was racist
The KKK burned crosses
Burning crosses are made with wood
Trees are used to make wood
Therefore trees are racist
Did I do it right?

Showing up with a stack of job applications would be the quickest, most effective way to disperse that crowd.

Shouldn't they be at work?

That would be "ban Judaism". Since JC is a symbol of Christianity, Christians are allowed to use the symbol of the cross. But no one else can.

They should consult with the University of Alabama for tree eradication tips.

It's aging well. The souls of the hanged negros were strong antioxidants.
And it uses plenty of sunscreen.

Is that the Leprechaun's tree? Little people have rights too!

You're on the right track, but the answer depends on whether the Grand Wizard weighs more than a duck.

The Big Oak is at a private home on a medium sized corner lot in a neighborhood (in town). I'd be pretty surprised if any slave were ever hung there.

This tree is a bit different. Those were about 70 years old, and were medium sized. The canopy on this one stretches from the yard it is in, across the street, and over the yard there.

Live Oaks get to 50 feet, tops. They aren't super tall trees. That one is 49' 9". The average canopy is 80'. That one is 146' 8".
It's a pretty damn old tree. Estimated to date to 1680.

That's not true. That's average height. They estimated Inspiration Oak to be 500 years old and it was 90. I don't put much faith in estimated ages for trees.

I was driving through St. Francisville a few weeks back and was wondering if live oaks would ever be targeted. I guess it didn't take too long.
