Papal names facts:
No Pope has ever chosen the name Peter, out of respect for Peter, the first Pope. Other names that have never been chosen are Joseph, James, Andrew and Luke.
The first Pope to adopt a double name was Albino Luciani which happened in 1978, when he chose the papal name of John Paul I. His successor, Karol Wojtyla, was the second Pope to use a double name when he chose John Paul II as his Papal name.
There have been 266 Popes in history but only 129 have chosen a new name when they became Pope.
Pope Francis was the first Pope to take the name of Francis and the first to do so in honor of Saint Francis of Assisi.
The most common Papal names are John, Gregory, Benedict and Pius. Other reoccurring names chosen include Clement, Innocent, Leo and Pius.

Almost 8:30pm local time. Meditation ran long? Are the Africans fighting the Germans over their heresies?

wish people cared as much about the Gospels and our Risen Christ as they do about the Papal Conclave and colored smoke.
Considering that St. Peter was the first leader of the Catholic Church (a position later called pope), this papal conclave seems pretty relevant to the Gospels since Jesus makes Peter the leader of the Church in the Gospels.

The only connection I'm aware of is that May 13th 1981 when Mehmet Ali Agca attempted to assassinate Pope John Paul II.

Ya-But..
Most people who are following this Conclave are following it because of politics and some only for the idea of speculating on who will be the next Pope.
Are you Catholic?
Why do you care who the next man to sit in the seat of Peter will be?
Do you place all your trust in Jesus Christ. The one who died and has risen?

First of all, your premise is wrong. (your original post).
Secondly, it's a pretty big deal so of course it's going to get crazy coverage.
People around the world followed the US presidential election like crazy.

Taking a lot longer than expected for them to reach a decision for today.

The first Fatima apparitions of the Blessed Mother to the children shepards.
The "3rd Secret" believes to concern the Pope(Bishop in White) and the destruction of Rome.

Some on the ground reporting believes we should be getting smoke after 8pm Rome time which I believe will be 2pm central time.
So it will likely be coming soon.

Yes……..but if it’s important to Jesus then it’s important to me too.
Jesus thought having a head of his Church on earth is important, and so I do too.

If you truly place all your trust in Jesus then you realize none of that matters. You understand God's plan is perfect and will never fail.
If you're worried about "man's" fallibility and them making mistakes.then you're worried about worldly things and IMO not really trusting in Jesus.
