Started with Sea World and now this gorilla incident. It seems caged animals are going to be a thing of the past.

Sucks because a lot of animals can only survive in zoos

Zoos should be banned as they are cruel and unjust habitats for animals. Animals are meant to be free not caged.

I agree.
That's why I've been opposed to the proposal to move the BR zoo downtown. I can see zoos getting serious pressure to close in the next decade. No sense in relocating now.

And how many endangered species have been kept from extinction because of zoos?
How many people in this thread are posting they want a stop to zoos.

Breaking News:
My wife (no pics) and I took our two little Breadsticks to the Anchorage Zoo and neither one of them wound up inside an exhibit.
Perhaps the dancing banana is in poor taste but screw it.
