Judge is losing me again. If she really wants to “honor” the victims and families in the courtroom she will shut him the frick up, “rights” be damned.

This won’t be the last time she lets him back in. There’s something she’s afraid of and if I was one of the family members in there I’d be pissed. Just as constant as his antics during the trial has been her allowing him to walk over her. Honestly she’s done a pretty poor job of maintaining order.

It wouldn't have kept him from doing life in prison but it might have given him a parole chance eventually. Its clear that the guy has mental issues. If he would have played that up instead of trying to act like the smartest guy in the room and arguing with the judge over everything he might have had that chance. Now i would be surprised if he doesn't get the absolute max.

Which is fine. She could bound and gag him. The court case she has used to remove him from the court explicitly says that is an option. There is no jury now so he can't be unfairly prejudiced. Just do it, sentence him face-to-face and let the victims get to see it done.

During the trial? Absolutely but the trial is over and all that is left is the Judge announcing the sentences. He can't object to anything, he has no more right to speak. It's over so there is no slippery slope.
