Watching my stories this afternoon

I’m at the tire shop and the stories are on. My grandmother used to watch them and I watched them some too when I’d stay with her.
I’m pretty sure I’m seeing many of the same actors that I watched 30+ years ago. They’re all shriveled up, but it’s them. Don’t these actors want to do something else? Are the stories some kind of gravy train? Seems like a lot of work vs making a 10-episode show or a movie.
I’m getting sucked in. Gonna have to buy a TV while I’m out and about.

I too used to follow until they started getting some bizarre storylines that even people in Alabama would blush at.
