When your local government and mayor does nothing to protect it’s citizens, then it is up to the citizens to protect themselves or become another statistic we read in the paper and lament how sad things are these days.

Well, clearly that’s dumb and no, you don’t do that, but simply as a matter of not becoming a victim, after not leaving your car running, leaving your vehicle unlocked, and other such foolishness in a place like NOLA or BR for that matter, being armed is still a huge deterrent to becoming prey for these garbage predators to feast upon, who look for weaknesses to exploit for their own gain. By nature they are huge pussies, and as pussies, they look to attack the weak, not the strong, and certainly not the armed that may cause their pussy arse to get hurt.

If you are dumb enough to leave your car running you are probably also dumb enough to leave your gun in the car while it is running.
Which seems to be the goal of these car jackings. A lot are driven just a few blocks and dumped once the criminals rifle through looking for what they want.
By the time most know their car is being stolen the person is already driving away. They don't care if the person is armed, they just need them a few steps away from a running car.

You’re probably right, but like I said, after not doing dumb shite like leaving your car running or unlocked, being armed these days is still a big deterrent to becoming a victim. If the scenario is different like someone rushing your car while in the process of starting your vehicle and getting situated for example, and you’re armed, then you have a fighting chance, and especially in the case of a woman to not become a victim to something far worse than just car jacking alone. We live in a very dangerous world these days, and the simple fact of the matter is, the police are not going to be there to protect us from a criminal element the politicians refuse to deal with, but rather allow it to grow even worse at every passing day.
