Huh? I just recall that Bundy was picked out in a police lineup and some surviving victims said their perpetrator's name was "Ted" and drove a BW Beetle, matching everything about Bundy, yet they never charged him.

eta- they had 26 white guys named Ted who drove VW Beetles. He was on the short list but they didn't have enough.

i didn't say i agreed with every single jail release, I said the article in the OP made the rounds in right wing media was a complete lie and a perfect example of the people like you being more interested in having your biases confirmed than you are the truth.

Here's a red pill for you, the right has the exact same media machinery in place that the left does. One of the high end outlets that are better staffed and funded put together a piece that fits whatever conservative agenda they're looking to push at the moment, and then all the worker bee outlets pick it up and slightly tweak it to make it look like the story is being covered on multiple fronts, while the TV outlets pick it up for discussion on a slated "debate" show, and the radio carnival barkers follow suit in harping on it as the latest sign of the end of the world.
It's all a lie, at least on the left most understand this concept, the right keeps their head in the sand to protect their precious worldview that only the mean ole democrats do underhanded media spin jobs.
I'm embarrassed for you.
