Thanks for all the input. I live by myself so it isn't like I'm going to be putting anything to the test. So top load is better than front load?

Yea, I'm not feeling all of the extra computer shite. I just want something that is efficient.

I have the same one and was getting the same error. I turned the washer on its side and started to take it apart. The large nut on the bottom was hand loose. This caused the imbalance sensor to drop out of range of the sending unit. As Soon as I snugged it up everything has been working fine since. Costs exactly $0 to fix.

I bought mine from best buy with price match. Ended up getting a four year extended warranty for $100 per unit. Piece of mind since the new stuff is all fancy with computers now.

Just get a basic set like HotPoint or Roper. They'll last longer and probably clean your clothes a lot better.
