Or were they two separate music festivals?

The reason I ask, it’s the 50th anniversary but the first Jazz Fest was 1970. Are they counting the music fest in 69 as the first?

Or I cannot count!!!! Never mind

1967

And I won't ask why you wrote it as 'The Who'. Is that not the band's name?

Yeah it's 49 years, but you have to count the first year so it becomes 50.

Yeah, but the first anniversary wasn’t til ‘71–making 2020 the 50th anniversary. This Is the 50th JF, but the 50th anniversary isn’t until 2020.

the New Orleans pop festival was a completely separate event and is quite the story if you care to research it further

I saw them play at Murphy's on their comeback tour. My buddy jumped up on stage and I had to save him from the bouncers.
