I still believe in God and worship Him. But I’m not going to be naive about it. God’s justice and my justice don’t always line up. I got me some questions when I get up to the pearly gates.

My brother, tread carefully making a mockery out of the word of our Lord. If you think David was defined by his sin and weaknesses I would encourage you to read first and second Samuel. Your post wasn't as humorous as you think.
Ok Mr. Buzzkill.

Would you like to be Abaw?
Everybody remembers Jacob and Esau. Nobody remembers Abaw, their adopted brother.

Maybe it’s because I’m a simple truck driving, hunting and fishing country baw, but I don’t know what these name qualifiers used to describe people mean. “Chad”, “Mary Sue”, “Jody”, I don’t have a clue what these mean

This has been the eternal struggle of my life, and as I am well into my middle age, I wake up each day with the thought that I will never know God's full promise that He has for my life.
As for my trite comment about Tiger Woods up-thread; while grown arse men were crying tears of joy after The Masters, I wanted only to cry tears for totally different reason.

I’m afraid that you probably won’t gaf about those questions when in the presence of God.

.it is from this line that Jesus came from, and all Christianity.
The lineage in Matthew is Joseph's line. Jesus, as we all know, had none of Joseph's DNA.

He was doing ok.

Then I’ll wrestle with an angel. That’s biblical, right?

How did David get in the situation where he let an old gay Italian sculpt him in the nude?
Posted on 5/11/19 at 6:08 pm to Pectus
Always found it ironic David Duke had that first name.

Lay not they hand upon my anointed.
Tread carefully indeed.
I won't judge any man. Lest I be judged.
I can say go frick yourself, but I am not judging a man's heart, ever.
Dude messed up bigly. He paid dearly for those sins. His life was a train wreck. Died young and had diseases. He even thought to have lost his mind at one point.
Sin doesn't profit a man. He knew this dearly and repented. His psalms are some of the most humbling and solemn works of poetic truths the world has ever seen. Crying out not blaming others but himself and showing how salvation would be offered one day and was gifted the gift of prophecy to foreshadow his sons coming to save the world.
I'd love to see people on this forum and their lives opened up to every generation afterwards for critiquing and judgement.

David would kill people in other countries for sport and cut off their foreskin to prove it.
He also stripped down almost naked and danced down the street.
David was a dangerous fricker.

The point is that Uriah didn’t sin at all. Yet he got effed over, and a lot worse than David.
So if you are saying “don’t sin,” this story teaches the opposite. Here, the sinner got the best end of the deal.

David's sins are well known. You're not informing Christians of something they don't know by pointing out David's failures. That's part of the whole point. Men are shite. We screw up.
There's a guide to overcoming that. You should look into it.
