It's called Golden Oak. There's a Four Seasons resort as part of that. The rest are personal residences.

There is also a tribute to 20,000 Leagues inside the tree in front of the Winnie the Pooh ride. LINK The tree used to be in the Pooh playground area across from the ride, where 20,000 Leagues was and where the Mine Train coaster is now.

Yeah, their cruises are much more costly than other cruise lines. But, I hear nothing but good things about them. Never been on 1 myself though.

That area is generally neglected and left alone. Discovery Island isn't far.

River Country? Not really. I mean it's right there on the edge of the Fort Wilderness Resort. Someone could easily get back there and get into some shite. Discovery Island is completely different. Totally isolated in the middle of Bay Lake.
ETA: I think I get what you're saying. They definitely don't pay much attention to Fort Wilderness. Leaving Discovery Island alone and letting nature reclaim it is one thing because of its isolation. I just would expect them to demo a lot of River Country, if for no other reason than just liability.

It's not really neglected and left alone? Of course it is... I mean that Disney hasn't seen the need to touch that area of the property for a long time, and it doesn't look like they will any time soon.
