Do you have to pay to walk the trail there?

I haven't been out there in a couple of years, but I don't think so?

I know you have to pay to get into Windrush, but I think that's it:

Plus, $25 for an annual pass for that is pretty reasonable, in my opinion.

Is the bike path thru Webb Park still around?

Burden or Bluebonnet Swamp (if open) was a good trek at one point

Go to the President streets. They have historical buildings and excellent tour guides that have interesting stories to tell. Exercise and you’ll learn something!!

Those streets are also great for dodgeball training. After all, if you can dodge a bullet, you can dodge a ball.

There are some good walking trails at a few of the dog parks around the city. If you have a pup, that would be a good outing for both of you!

that they did not want sidewalks in their neighborhoods

In subdivisions?
I can’t stand not having a sidewalk like we had as kids

I partially blame lack of sidewalks for childhood obesity
At least when we were kids we could ride our bikes on the sidewalk

park at mikes habitat and explore the campus. lots of places to take a break and water available. also a lot of interesting things to see you probably overlooked if there as a student.

most exploring on campus will have shade..
i have explored campus hundreds of times and still find interesting things. best time is in summer...you may get the quad to yourself:)

LSU Lakefront is great, lots of people but this time of year it can be a bit much if it's super humid, even in the mornings.
