Is it totally developed or are there still some rural parts that have trees and where you’re not up your neighbors arse?

People who bought in "undeveloped" areas 10 years ago in Covington/Mandeville are now living up their.neighbor's arse. If you move to a fast growing area, don't expect it to stop growing once you get there.

If I absolutely had to live around BR, I'd try to find some rural property up around St Francisville, with enough acreage that I have a buffer zone between me and any potential neighbors.

If you want to constantly smell the Waste Management dump then by all means, move to Walker. I know multiple family members who have moved because they could not walk outside anymore because of it.

Pending on which city you and your SO are coming from living in Walker or any BR suburb would be quite boring I would imagine.

Just rent a shotgun double in mid city Nola and take the speed rail in to BR for work.

I live here.

Many neighborhoods of varying price ranges.

Good schools.

Blossoming retail situation.

Low crime. If you are used to BR or NO. . .then virtually zero crime

I'm on the westside of Walker, a few miles north of Florida. I don't smell anything other than nature. I don't get the "the landfill makes Walker stink".

I love it out here. In fairness, I work from home. My wife commutes, but does home health so she adjusts her schedule around traffic. Juban Crossing is the absolute best thing that's happened out here. Traffic around Juban and Florida and I12 and Walker North can suck, but not remotely close to most major arteries in BR or NOLA.
