People go there for a normal midday meal? The food is the most basic food you can easily make at home. On the rare occasion that I have been there, it has always been this category...

I do this. It's for when you don't really feel like wearing tennis shoes. Want to wear something more free and lose. But at the same time, you don't want to wear your feet out.

Idk what it is, but I feel grossed out wearing my toes out in public. The only time you'll catch me not wearing socks is if I'm either at the beach, or on my way to the beach.

Not to mention wearing your feet out just seems like a more woman thing, than for men. Atleast that's how younger men like myself see it.
