Not so many Americans cook their own meth these days.
Regulations have made it harder to get the ingredients, and the Mexicans are bringing in big quantities of good stuff. Easier and cheaper to buy it already cooked.

Two of my sons went to a sketchy area about 12-15 miles from the house to buy a NIB backpack blower. It is $400 new but $150 for quick sale. The house was rundown but inside were a handful of yard equipment in boxes and some were open for display. The woman talked a mile a minute, fidgeted a ton, and was the salesperson. The husband was all fidgety and kept walking in and out of the “showroom”. They made the deal, handed off the $150, started to leave and she started on selling him a new Honda mower. She yelled at the husband and asked him how much more money they needed and he said about $50. She asked if he’d buy the mower for $50. He just wanted to gtfo of there.
They were able to get out while she followed and blabbed the entire time and sped off with the quickness. Meth was most def in play there.
Both sons CCed and felt better because of that. But, they aren’t going back even though she still posts her sales on FB.
