Vinyl pool liner replacement Lafayette

I know...vinyl liners are trashy. But I need to get mine replaced before summer. Has anyone in the Lafayette area had one replaced recently and if so could you give me a ballpark figure of what it cost?
I've gotten 2 quotes and they seem a little high.

One of the quotes I got WAS from some Mexicans and they were 20% higher than the Americans. I was flabbergasted

A guy I worked with found the correct liner online for his pool and did it himself.

Are you talking about an above ground pool? If you are then it's not that hard to replace it. Just make sure the bottom is level and smooth and work the wrinkles out with your feet as it slowly fills up with water. Then put your skimmer plate on and cut out hole with a razor knife, the same for the return.
It's basically the same process for an inground vinyl liner but if you have an above ground sunk in the ground then you have to worry about the walls collapsing after its drained.

It's an inground. I've watched the videos on how to do it and it doesn't look too difficult, but I'm sure there are a few tricks of the trade that a novice like myself don't know.

The hardest part is the wrinkles. Ive done quite a few above ground liners and the trick is working them out with your feet with a few inches of water in the pool. Finding the exact size liner might be difficult if it's a custom shape.
On that 5500 quote how much of that is the liner? The price varies on liners due to gauge and pattern. If you get a plain blue one it's going to be cheaper.

You might want to check into an ECOFINISH vs a liner.
I also have a vinyl liner in ground pool and thinking about going this direction.

Had my 16 X 32 done last summer. Local pool company in Pensacola. $3,200.00 complete... turnkey. Liner was $950.00 + $2250 labor
