The length of this thread and the number of downvotes to the OP prove the effectiveness of the enduring lies against her.
Jane Fonda was a scapegoat for American political leaders who had to explain away a massively deadly failure and for returning Vietnam vets psychologically stung by the stigma of the first American military body to suffer a major defeat in wartime.
It's a pity that somebody had to sacrifice himself, but I believe I accomplished my mission here. If you didn't already know that no, Fonda did NOT pass POW notes to their North Vietnamese captors, and no, no POW spat on Fonda in Hanoi for anything she did there, and no, Fonda did not use her Hanoi broadcasts to blame American soldiers and pilots, well you should know all those things by now. Thanks for your interest. Mission accomplished.
