You got half of that right. She was 34 when she went over there.

Back the truck up. She wasn't a teenager. She was 34 years old.

Your credibility slides more and more every year, baw.

No, she did not. Vocal opposition to an American war is protected by the First Amendment, and is not the type of "aid and comfort" mentioned by the Constitution. That would consist of assisting them in waging war either militarily or intelligence-wise against the USA, which she did not do.

So now you're reduced to arguing that 34 is not young?

If Fonda only apologized to save a movie then why did she apologize again in 2005? In 2011?

She said "no regrets" on 60 minutes in 2005, except for the picture itself. So, she's narrowed it as it became the focus for anti-Fonda sentiment.

But, it is still aid and comfort to the enemy. It is still treason. And if the only damage she's suffered is to her bank account and reputation - she got off light. Ask John McCain how nice the North Vietnamese are to their prisoners.

Oh, that's right, you don't listen to him because he doesn't use a computer (because he lost the use of the arm to his kind, generous captors).

Don't know about 2005, but in 2011 she was promoting her new book, and veterans groups were protesting at her book signings.

I don't know... why did she apologize all those times for acts that you say are all lies? Seems kind of dumb to apologize for something you didn't even do.

Do you not see how dumb this is? On one hand you're arguing that she didn't do anything... then on the other you're arguing that she apologized for the same things you're saying she didn't do.

I think somewhere in your brain there's a misfiring of signals or something.

SO the least respected poster in TigerDroppings history (with apologies to Dan Kern) takes his limp act over to The OT and starts to crank out shitty thread after shitty thread ? I'm shocked.

Rex is a sad cautionary tale, a warning to normal people of what happens to a person when they go so far down the troll rabbit hole that they lose sight of reality. You find yourself on the OT wasting your life defending Jane Fonda.

For the record, Mrs. Pimp escaped Vietnam as a kid. Her family had all their property seized, some were summarily executed, most of the men were imprisoned in a "reducation camp" (run by guys with a similar mentality to the OP) and ate crickets and grubs for two years to survive, they had to leave their own country on a leaky boat, and live in a tent in Malaysia for almost two years. They all think Fonda richly deserves the dishonor she earned by white-washing the horrible truth about Communism and the North Korean government. frick Fonda, and frick the shitty little troll who started this thread.

No matter how many times you wish it speaking out is not treason... which is why she was never tried.

Rex, I just find it amazing that with all the serious issues facing this country today, blame whomever you want, that you actually care about something that happened over 40+ years ago. To a rich, privileged Hollywood movie star who has lived her whole life with a silver spoon in her mouth. I assure you, it's a fact that no one else but you gives a shite about Jane Fonda and what she did or did not do close to half a century ago. Even she wants nothing to do with this subject. And as for your "general consensus" that dropping the bomb on Japan was a war crime: I assure you that my uncle & the 14 grand & great grand kids that exist today because it was dropped, ending the war, multiplied by millions more across the country, were not part of the vote.
