Obtuse 1, over the last few years I have become friendly with Leh Keen. Have you ever seen his “rain dance” video from 24 hours of the ring. My favorite driving video. He said he was sliding the car more than he needed to just to keep any kind of heat in the tires.

I have but it has been several years since I watched it. I remember it well because I watched it dozens of times and 4 things stood out to me:
1. it was an incredible lap in those conditions, especially when you consider he wasn't a "Ring specialist
2. He was passing cars like a fast local on tourist days
3. There were times he had so much opposite lock dialed up his forearms were nearly touching
4. I spent the whole lap curious how conservative he would be from the bridge to the entrance of the F1 track. The bridge is at the uphill end to the Dottinger straight then you drop down to Tiergarten and up into the Hohenrain chicane. It is the fastest part of the track. He was more conservative than I expected but he was still skating through Hohenrain. The only other place he was conservative was the lefthander at the top of the hill coming out of the Fox Hole (I can't remember its name). He attacked and drove at almost dry speeds almost the entire lap. It was magical.

That's an awesome story

Senna was the best Saturday driver ever to line up on an F1 grid but come Sunday I would rather have Prost or Schumacher in the car.

Plus it would be cool to own an actual race car.
It’s like having a boat but worse.

If you wanted a guy to test and set up your car perfectly, Alain Prost was your man.

ARIEL ATOM ON THE NURBURGRING VS CORVETTE Z06 600HP. If you've never heard of it this one carries a small turbocharged Honda. Probably weighs 1300 lbs. What a ride.

Had to watch it til the end to see that top speed in that long straight stretch at the end. He was still going 120 hitting the curves after that.
He only slowed down to 92 mph in the curve where the red dot is!
