Looks like it shot a laser out the wing and the lightning tried to catch it. Watch it frame by frame. Crazy looking.

I've been on a flight where the plane was struck twice while in the air, several minutes apart. The first strike was the worse for me because I had never experienced that before and it was incredibly loud. The second strike was not as intense and didn't last as long, but I "expected" it as the weather we were in was awful.
Supposedly a "normal" phenomenon that pilots often experience, but for me, it was my first and only. Not looking forward to repeating that either.

was on a flight from Chicago to Birmingham, and flew between 2 storms around Huntsville and we got hit 2 times by lightning. was such a weird experience, but hey I can say I have experienced it.
