VIDEO -Violent car crash closes Elysian Fields Ave., Monday night.

The driver that caused the crash took off running. No one died.

I'd like to know how the driver of that SUV (pretty sure it was an SUV) got into that situation.
Was he coming straight down the intersecting road at high speed, and tried to avoid the traffic turning in front of him?
