I'll do it for half that much.

I’ve had many dogs that have lived between 12-15 years of age. I’ve never had ONE of their teeth professionally cleaned. I’ve never had a vet push for it either. Their teeth have always checked out completely fine. Get them some nice dental bones every few months and they will likely be absolutely fine.
People will convince themselves their pets need everything with a little guilt and pressure.

i wont ask who they vet/vet company is but i suspect some things.
i also dont think we are getting all the facts. i am willing to bet part of that quote is multiple extractions because the dogs teeth are in poor condition. They are probably doing recommended standard care as well and that price includes radiographs and blood work for anesthesia.
Please keep in mind just like all goods and services, things have gotten expensive for everyone. The vet has to cover costs of drugs, equipment, rent, paying technicians, and hopefully take some home for themselves.
I am not judging you. You are well in your right to refuse to pay the price, but i doubt the vet is fleecing you. You dont expect them to do it for free or at cost do you?

Guy posted that there are no extractions.

They expect it to be nearly free while they post on their brand new iPhone about their brand new 90K truck. They will shop all meds online and go to some shitty “country” vet whose standards of care are still in 1960. Then wonder why all the vets are selling out to corporate and having prices jacked up.

i may have missed that, but still without seeing the quote we have no real way to evaluate what's being proposed.

Sad but kinda funny. They didn’t wanna support the local vet business so they buy meds from online vendor and expect services to remain cheap. Vet sells to some corp who probably owns both the online pharmacy and the vet office now. Jack up the services
End of day you’re paying same amount or more but now it’s going to a huge corp not a local guy
