Vent windows

Anybody know why companies did away with vent windows? Talking about on trucks.

I'm guessing because a/c in trucks became a more standard feature over time.

people no longer ride with windows down, so you don't need those any more.

besides, they would never seal after a year or so and would always whistle like hell.

I guess I'm the only one that rides with the windows down even though I have a great a/c.
