This part is correct, but it was from people in the church. You can get a lot of upvotes by posting incorrect history, but you probably deep down know why he left the Catholic Church. Everything you posted about monarchs is a nice way of protecting the church. Same as it is today.

Yes because with faith comes community - you cannot walk this journey alone

Jesus didn’t need the Apostles, but He chose them.

Even God is a community of 3 in and of Himself - which we of course do not understand.

No Protestant pastors pedophiles right? None in any mega churches anywhere?none in Baptist churches? Or every single other denomination?

Absolutely agree. I was just answering the question in the context of the Catholic Church.

I’m not Jesus brother, I’m just telling you what scripture says. What was the question? But I’ll need you to tackle this one as well

Well considering that that verse established the lineage of Popes and the Catholic Church, I would say that that particular verse does need to be taken pretty literally.

But anyone who takes the entire Bible literally isn't very smart.

This is the whole point of my post. You, we, subjectively decide what should be practiced literally in the Bible and what shouldn’t and it’s constantly changing.

I’m at least not a hypocrite

They actually go to jail in those denominations is the difference. Not move them to another parish

You should do stand up comedy when you’re not at H&R Block

Only fact in your post is that I’m in Baton Rouge.

It is anti-Francis.

He has been more progressive than Catholic.

I’m not going to call you names, I’d actually like a good explanation. I’ve never actually heard one. Which is why the Catholics are leaving in droves. I want to understand why this guy gets so much exonerated type comments when people on this board wouldn’t exonerate a guy that drinks a beer on the way home from work.
