Instructions, guidelines, and general advice are not the same as ultra-secret supernatural revelations that only the Pope's can know. Dumbass.

I am not much of a Catholic any more, so I could be confused on what I was taught a long time ago, but I thought that the date the world would end was one of the revelations Mary was supposed to have told the children at Fatima and that the Popes since then have kept that date secret.

Shawn Ryan actually just interviewed a scholar that's been allowed access.

Fascinating interview.

no, she gave them a vision of hell, predicted WWI or WWII (maybe both), and told them believers would be heavily persecuted

Mary doesn’t know when the end of the world will be either

If you don't know where that somewhere is, then it is lost.

Why not just look at Mark 14?

The Last Supper

12 On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, when it was customary to sacrifice the Passover lamb, Jesus’ disciples asked him, “Where do you want us to go and make preparations for you to eat the Passover?”

13 So he sent two of his disciples, telling them, “Go into the city, and a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him.
14 Say to the owner of the house he enters, ‘The Teacher asks: Where is my guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?
15 He will show you a large room upstairs, furnished and ready. Make preparations for us there.”

16 The disciples left, went into the city and found things just as Jesus had told them. So they prepared the Passover.

17 When evening came, Jesus arrived with the Twelve.
18 While they were reclining at the table eating, he said, “Truly I tell you, one of you will betray me—one who is eating with me.”

The church at Aksum…

It’s also believed to be housed at the church of Lalibela that is hewned directly from rock and as legend states was constructed by the angel Gabriel in one night.

Here’s the thing, the ark of the covenant is a distinctly Jewish relic so the irony that it would end up in a church somewhere is well, ironic.

The thing that is overlooked far too often is the fact that Ethiopia has an ancient Jewish population & culture that does have a direct link to Menelik, the son of the Queen of Sheba & King Solomon. They still practice a distinct form of Judaism that is by far more reminiscent of the Judaism you’d find practiced in the Old Testament as opposed to modern-day Israel.

quote:

The form of Judaism practiced in Ethiopia is called "Beta Israel," which translates to "House of Israel," and is distinct from mainstream Judaism as it primarily follows the Torah without incorporating later Rabbinic laws and commentaries, often including practices like animal sacrifice and unique rituals not found in other Jewish communities; Ethiopian Jews are also known as "Falasha" by their non-Jewish neighbors, meaning "strangers" in the local language.

You can be damned sure there are writings from the time of Jesus that paint a different picture of events/people. They must protect their canon at all costs.

If so, then why not just destroy them?

I kind of have to explain it on a 3rd grade level, otherwise it would probably go right over your head.
