American actress and vocalist Vanessa Williams will be performing the song “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” widely known as the Black National Anthem

Ironic they pick one of the whitest looking black people to sing this song...

No, I just think you need to stop raping innocent children. But if you'd like to meet up and fight I live in Alexandria, I can email you my address.

So now you’re attacking indigenous people of color as well? You understand the Cherokee revolted against the oppressive federal government and joined with the confederacy, correct?

Ahh there it is. Getting butthurt over something that happened before you were alive. Strange, people have been depicting whites in song or dance and in comedic fashion for ever. I'm not the one that gets upset when another race makes fun of or shows endearment to a white man.

BTW the black national Anthem has nothing to do with us fighting the British. Nada. In fact, black people were going around tearing down Abe Lincoln, so why the frick would they care about the black national Anthem? It was first performed on his birthday.

I never even knew there was a black national anthem until St George came about.

The Black National Anthem has been apart of HBCU'S for over a century . This isn't a recent creation. Tradition is only respected when you perform minstrel songs like " The Eyes of Texas" that clowns like you get upset over.

Is anyone saying the segregation anthem shouldn’t be played at these schools like was being said about the school song of Texas being played at the school or for school events?

Your comparison is ridiculous but par for the course for you.

This is so divisive. We are all Americans who have to stick together for our collective good.
" muh tradition" like the Eyes of Texas . Blacks should just deal with it & forget the minstrel past & jigaboo songs America loved.. Lift Every Voice & Sing is a Century old tradition that's "divisive" now?

Why are only traditions / songs / anthems Whites like worth preserving?
