It takes a particular temperament to do the detail. I have a friend whose done model stuff I'd never even think about doing. I think it has something to do with respect and loyalty for the subject. JMO.

Excellent work.

The men that piloted these planes, the greatest generation, were a huge part of my life when I was growing up. These men left me with memories I will never forget. This is what the current generation is lacking.

Have you ever thought about selling any of your finished products?

The last model I did before this P-51D was a British Mk. III Valentine Infantry Tank. And just a few weeks ago I finished a Russian IS-2.

FW-190?
That's my favorite war bird.

Great coming from an Alabama fan. You must like it because it's sort of attractive and claims a lot of battle victories that didn't win the actual war. I'm biased coming from a Navy family, but the Hellcat, the Corsair, the P-38, and you come up with the FW-190? What? Spitfire? Hurricane? The Hurricane, second only to the Mustang, was one of the sexiest planes of the war. (Add in WH40K Ork sounds... waaaaaggggh!)

Tell me again how great they were in the Battle of Britain, Leningrad, or Stalingrad. I also missed them against their performance against the 555th in WWII. You must just like the paint job.

I can conjure up equipment respect for the MG34 and MG42, but that's about it. Aces High.
