Do you use Micro Set/Sol when you apply them on uneven surfaces?
I do. Do you give it a gloss coat first before applying decals?

Once again, great work! It's the little details I appreciate: the weathering, the detail work on the shovel and axe, and the excellent placement of the decals. Do you use Micro Set/Sol when you apply them on uneven surfaces?
I’ve used Micro Set/Sol for a long time. But I’ve recently been trying Tamiya Mark Fit Strong. Both seem to work well.

Always amazed at the detail and weathering work that you do on these. Particularly like the dented rack/basket in the back!
Thanks. That was actually done by accident. That rack is a photo-etched part, it’s made of very thin metal and is easily bent. The bend you see happened when I picked it up during assembly and forgot to be careful to not bend the rack.

This is a very important step. It both helps the decal set properly and, when followed up with a flat coat after applying the decal, reduces the shine that decals have.

Also helps reduce the outline if you don't trim the clear.

Hey Darth, did you ever get the Kit Masx masking for insignia, etc?

I’ve been meaning to but haven’t done it yet.
