Nice job!

I did the exact same kit a couple of years ago. Messed up the yellow fuselage band.

Good work yourself!

Did you get a mask set?

No. I masked it by hand. Took the better part of a day to do it.

In 1940 it was great aircraft but by 1943 it was obsolete.

And yet it soldiered on to the very end of the war. On another note, it’s amazing how fast the technology of that time was advancing. The Ju 87 first flew in 1935 and entered service in 1937. In was obsolete less than a decade later. Compare that to today where aircraft types are used for decades. The A-10 I mentioned earlier in this thread is a prime example. It’s been in service for 50 years.

Dude was pretty badass even though he was a hardcore un-repentant Nazi... he was also credited with sinking a battleship and a cruiser as well.

Nice work as always

The aircraft gained the nickname 'Stuka', short for Stürzkampfflugzeug, meaning 'dive-bomber' in German, although the Germans themselves nicknamed the plane 'Berta'

I was reading up on him yesterday. And you’re right. That dude was a true believer up to the bitter end of the Third Reich and even after.

If there is a primer on how not to fight an air war it would be the Germans in World War II.

I think one of their biggest mistakes was when it came to the air war, the Germans thought only in tactical terms, not strategic. Specifically, they failed to grasp the importance of strategic heavy bombing. Sure, they had bombers, but they were mediums like the DO17, JU-88 and HE-111. But they never put any serious effort to develop a real heavy bomber force to carry out strategic bombing.
