It was also a mainstay in the Pacific as a torpedo bomber.

I really appreciate that. That’s why I post these threads.

How long does it take to complete one of your builds? I realize some can be more intricate than others, just looking for an average.

You’re very right that it varies based on the kit. This particular one took probably about 15-16 hours of work. Some can take 30-40 hours. It all depends on the level of detail and how a kit is designed. For example, on tracked vehicles some come with one piece wrap-around tracks that don’t take long at all to install other than painting and weathering. Other kits tough come with tracks that are individual track shoes that have to be placed one at a time. Those take much longer. But the detail on these is much better.

Here is a single piece wrap-around track…

Notice how the track is tight and has no track sag like you’d normally see? Now here is an track of individual shoes…

Notice how much more natural the tracks look compared to the other tank.

The center of gravity on that plane looks so far out of whack with those engine that far forward, however I guess it was a nice flying airplane.

I think it looks that way partly because the nose is so short.

Yeah. The Australians used them in this configuration. The British also used it as both a torpedo bomber and ground attack aircraft in North Africa, Italy, and France.

Thanks. I wasn’t sure how it would turn out, but I was satisfied with the results. I used Tamiya gray panel accent

Turned out perfect. Never had tried the Tamiya accent stuff, just make my own from enamels

No. They’re the platic ones that. Some in the kit. If I remember correctly, that’s a Dragon kit.

I appreciate your response. Noticed that some people can’t be satisfied by you having the courtesy to answer my question. Some people can’t help but be miserable asses.

I appreciate your attention to detail in your models. I used to build models years ago but never put the proper time into them. In thinking of getting back into building as an inexpensive hobby.

Compared to some other hobbies, it’s not really expensive. And it’s very relaxing.

Did you distress the rivet joints or did the kit come that way?

I used Tamiya gray panel accent to get that effect.

I am really into obscure military hardware and you do some cool obscure vehicles. I like your paint work though. Your really good at aging and making new plastic look worn.
I get there are haters. But more appreciate then hate.

I think you cut yourself short on the acrylic models

I've cast that stuff, not hard, but it will melt some plastics.

very quick, 2 I saw that were cool and doable,

a busted pacific fighter (corsair, I think) sinking in water, almost underwater, pilot in maywest is at the surface

other was a busted brit plane, guys in the water, coastal recovery,
and a great curved backdrop of the cliffs of dover

both less than a 2" deep case (both were 1/72 models)

and, honestly had to bump just to annoy the haters...
