Usually, me too. But every once in a while, I’ll venture up to the Cold War era. You’ll be happy to know the kit I pulled out of my stash to do next, is a WWII era Italian SM.79 Spaviro bomber.

I’ll be busy next weekend though. So it will most likely be weekend before next before i can get started on it.

Wow, I doubt I’d be able to find that kit at Hobby Lobby!

I haven’t. To be honest, I don’t think I’ve even seen a Maus kit. The closest thing I have to one in my model stash is a Trumpeter 1/35 scale E-100.

No. Hobby Lobby’s selection sucks rancid arse for the most part. I don’t know why they even bother having a model isle. The kits they stock, most model builders don’t want. If they’d start stocking some good Tamiya, Hasegawa, Airfix, or Italeri kits, then they’d sell far more models.

Thanks I’m glad you like them. I do these threads for folks like you who enjoy them, but also for the petty little haters who get bothered by them.

Thanks. I do try to build a variety. For example, if I just finished a vehicle, my next build generally will be an aircraft. And I also try to rotate between counties as well as between Axis and Allied. That way I keep it mixed up pretty well.

But my favorite to build will always be WWII era German armor, especially anything post mid-1943.

The BMP-2 is broadly similar to the BMP-1. The most significant changes are: ...

Two rear infantry roof hatches instead of four.

That’s not even the worst part of the BMP. The two back doors…

Those are full of fuel. Yes, the back doors are fuel tanks. So, on top of being extremely cramped and uncomfortable, the way out is also the damned fuel tanks which are extremely exposed.

Maybe one day. But they take up a lot of space. So, so far I’ve not done any.
