I am looking at a used Toyota Tacoma. I found one that was originally listed at $31,895, then a few weeks later it went up to $33,895, and is now back down to $32,895. How much room for negotiation is there on used vehicles and what could I get this vehicle for?

Jesus…30k for a used midsize truck!?

Find comparable models elsewhere. I typically use true car to gauge sales

A brand new one will run you $40-50k

How many miles are on the used Tacoma? Mileage can be a tool for leverage in many cases.

You probably won’t get them below 30

It's a 2022 with 17k miles, but it's hard to find comps because the prices are all over the place.

Buy a new frontier. The price of a new frontier is the cost of a used Tacoma

Trucks have gotten stupid expensive but obviously people are paying it. Bunch of baws driving around with 72 month $850 truck notes.

Yeah and then you have a Frontier instead of a Tacoma

I have had one that was priced at $32,665 and they offered it to me for $31,500, so obviously there is some room.

Not sure where you have seen this, but used Frontiers are on par or more expensive.

wait until you see interest rates on used vs new right now in Louiaiana. Been looking at used cars with around 50,000 miles for my daughter. Bit the bullet yesterday and ordered a budget friendly new small suv. The interest rate savings made it pretty much pointless to buy used.

Get a base trim frontier. They are listed at 30-33k. That is if you don’t want 4x4.

I have a 2019 with <30k miles on it, and the dealer I bought it from offered me more than $32k last month. Not sure how much room there is.

i drive by a small used car lot everyday. the prices there perplex me. maybe im just out of touch with the market but its not uncommon for me to see cars 10 years old with 20-30k price stickers on them.

wtf. who pays that for a used car?

What was the original MSRP price? That’s what I’ve been trying to do because I need some kind of a reference to go by

Make and model of vehicles? Mileage?
I’d much sooner pay $25k for a 10 year old used than $75k new.
