USAA Insurance?

Do you have it? Do you like it? Pros? Cons? Experiences with claims? Looking for advice.
Currently have State Farm. Auto price is the same, coverage is basically the same. On homeowners USAA wins by a few dollars on cost but blows State Farm out of the water as far as coverage.

Had it for many years. Literally everything was top notch except the price.

Had USAA for 10 or so years. Never had a problem but also never filed a claim. Switched to Gieco last year because it was cheaper. Gieco doesn’t call me Sgt Turner but I make due.

I've had USAA for seemingly forever. I've tried other insurance companies intermittently for various reasons, but I always go back to USAA as quickly as possible. It's amazing. Great claims service. Great rates, AND great annual rate rebates.

Homeowners and Auto.
Had a claim for leaking water. It had been enduring for over a year from a condensation line that the builder had put in cracked. The way our couch sat against the wall though we had no idea.
They still covered, quick and easy. No issues with settlement amount

I have had it since 1995.
Checking, savings, Roth, IRA, mortgage, auto loan, credit card, credit monitoring, auto ins, home ins.
They are the chick fil a of financial services.
Unfortunately they stopped doing helocs or I would have one of those too.
Regarding prices, you have to factor in the rebate at the end of the year, a dividend of sorts.
They are non profit so any profit at the end of year they send checks to members.
As far as claims, I have never been at fault so never had to deal with them.
A long time ago I went through some financial hardships and they went above and beyond to work with me on payments on a cc, auto loan, and insurance, never threatened to send me to collections and were always very polite and respectful, bent over backwards for me. First class operation.

I have homeowners and auto insurance with them. Geico would jack rates up without question every year. They go up with USAA but nowhere nearly as much.
On auto, I've never really had a problem. They're perhaps a bit higher than a few in my case but not a significant amount of savings for me to go to another company. I recently bought a truck and it was a snap to transfer the policy from my old car to my truck using an app on my phone.

What are you talking about? I have never received an end of year check from USAA

They may just be depositing it into your checking account. It hasnt actually been a paper check for me in years. It is deposit around Christmas.

My rebate is applied directly to our car insurance payment on the month that it is given.

Must be on that same plan as I've never seen any deposits etc. Thank you

I have USAA. Love it. Great coverage and when I got hit by someone in my car, they were quick with helping me get it in a shop and getting it fixed.

Another perk is when people see your card at hotels or other random places they thank you for your service.
I did not serve, btw, I was familied in. I don't think they do that anymore. But it is always nice being thanked for my service randomly.

Another perk is calling them and instead of getting Lemonjello or "Richard" Valalanananla in India, you get Caitlyn in Texas.

Can’t recommend enough.
Daughter had a bunch of at-fault car wrecks - quick, no arguments, replaced parts with warranty parts, even threw in a spare tire knowing the car didn’t originally come with one. loyal customer here.
and kept waiting for my rates to go up - never happened.

What are the differences in coverages?

I have seen them commercials, I am a member of USAA but they have never addressed me by my rank

It should also be noted that USAA invented deposit-at-home because they don't have bank branches. When the internet was in its infancy, they came up with a way for people to scan checks and deposit them online.
Everyone does it now but USAA was the first.
Another cool thing is they will rearrange posted dates on your checking account to avoid charging you overdraft fees, whereas other banks will purposefully manipulate posted dates and times of checking transactions to frick you.
Again, not poor anymore, but when I was, this was a big deal. Actually won a suit against Nationsbank (BOA) for this shite.
