I think a lot of the reason Shreveport’s population is declining is because of the white flight to Bossier and southern Shreveport areas, like Keithville/Stonewall. The inner city public schools are a disaster, which made mine and my wife’s decision easier. Stay in a cheaper house and send our kids to private school, or move to North Bossier in a nicer house where the public schools are great.

They are wrong on Cleveland. Flint and Gary are for sure shitholes. Detroit is getting better.

How are Detroit and Cleveland able to support multiple sports teams, especially MLB teams

Inertia

Btw these reports are total crapshoot. I was just reading Top 25 large and Top 25 small cities and numerous ones on those lists are on this list.

I would live in Detroit in a heartbeat over Flint. My professor showed whatever class I was in during mid 90s a film on Flint and it was bad then.

Fortune 500 companies and surrounding metro area. The fact that many of our cities have been infested with dysfunctionals means functional people fled somewhere.

keep in mind america's history is east to west, and these teams in Detroit and Cleveland are old, they have history and longevity, and date back to more prosperous times. They have established fan bases.

I thought for sure Baton Rouge would be there. The traffic here is 100% not warranted for a city of its size. Pure infrastructure incompetence.

Three + hours in that crap yesterday.

Yep. Detroit used to be the richest US city per capita.

It's an odd place. Super swanky burbs, to places where the cops just gave up on. They're razing whole hoods for urban farming.

The consistency of these threads is getting so sad. We know Baton Rouge is a shithole if we’re comparing it to cities across the US.

How many times are y’all going to try to justify living there?
