No, sadly it's not. I served ten years in the Army and the barracks I shite you not are basically like the chaotic scenes of Van Wilder. It's no different than a college dorm the weekend after. Like someone said though, you have 20 something young kids but then add deployment tax free money with too much downtime?....well shite is gonna get lit....but in a bad way. It's why we can't have good things.

Iceland’s beers are less than 3% from what I remember and there is only one liquor store that I saw the entire time I was there
They also only started selling alcohol in the 90s I think

Wow. Neither did I for the record. Neither did these guys. I know a TON of guys who went military fresh out of high school. Many now have more degrees than you have wall space.
People are called to different things. It’s okay if it’s not your thing. You don’t have to shite on it. Nobody shite on your profession.
Military provides structure, education, a professional path, insurance and numerous other benefits while giving a person the opportunity to serve their country.
It’s a mature decision for a young person to make.
And yeah, they get a pass on closing down a whore house or drinking Iceland out of beer cause they are young and dumb and it’s kinda awesome.
